Having welcomed a daughter in November 2023, witnessing the atrocities unfolding in the Middle East – especially those endured by children – has been a daily struggle throughout the final years of my PhD. I therefore started a fundraiser for UNICEF’s work supporting children’s access to water, food, shelter, education and healthcare in Gaza.
