On October 25th, Lund United Nations Association is hosting a grand ball in support of UNICEF, with an honourable speaker – Anders Kompass. As a former UN employee, he will share his experiences working with human rights within the UN system and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

This charity ball is organised by Lund’s UN Association to raise money for UNICEF’s work in Gaza. Gaza is right now one of the most dangerous places in the world for children. Over thousands of children have been killed and more than 50 000 are suffering from acute malnutrition.

UNICEF is one of many important organisations providing emergency assistance to the children in need in Gaza. By delivering clean drinking water, healthcare, and nutrition they can save lives. But the crisis is severe and more support is crucial. Hence Lund’s UN Association has chosen to fundraise for UNICEF’s work in Gaza as the charity purpose of this year's ball.
