Help Gaza "Print Your Own" The Pillar - Stephen Gil
The humanitarian situation in Palestine remains catastrophic and Aid for the Palestinian people vital and urgent.
An estimated 55’000 pregnant and breastfeeding women are suffering malnutrition in Gaza resulting in around 70% of new-borns being premature and of low birth weight all as a result of this destruction and man-made famine.
Starvation is widespread and children and families are suffering from hunger.
Much urgent aid is needed to gain sight of some stability for children, families, and citizens in the form of food, medical aid and shelter, as most homes have been obliterated.
The UN relief and works agency (Unrwa) reported that 92% of homes have been damaged or destroyed.
During the winter months, the temperatures in Gaza can fall to 6 degrees Celsius resulting in people being significantly more vulnerable to illness, such as respiratory infections and infectious diseases.
The Israeli Military has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza, including thousands of children. Entire families have been murdered and neighbourhoods destroyed.
The UN have concluded that the occupied Palestinian territory is the deadliest place on Earth to be a child.
I'm doing what I can, in a small way, to help the people of Gaza and for any donation, no matter the amount, I’ll send you a high-resolution digital image from my photographic series The Pillar.
I’ve chosen to go the “print-it-yourself” route, hoping that the money which would normally go towards shipping costs from my studio in Sweden can instead be directed towards donations to UNICEF, who are working to help people in Gaza.
You can print the image at home, at a local lab or supermarket, or simply just donate what you are able or use it as a screensaver.
For those in the UK, I’ve teamed up with my old friends at
Rapid Eye in East Central London, who will donate 100% minus printing costs of what they print.
Once you’ve made your donation to this UNICEF campaign, just email s@stephengill.co.uk with the subject "HELPED". There are three images to choose from, so please state Image 1,2 or 3 and I’ll then send you the master image file along with suggested print sizes and paper types, though of course, you’re welcome to print your image however you choose and a size you may decide.
The three different images available can be viewed on nobody books.com by clicking *HERE* or on Instagram *HERE*
A link to your chosen image will be sent to you the week of 20th October 2025.
My initial goal was to raise £10,000 (around 130,000 SEK)
Due to the kind response from people who joined this UNICEF fundraiser, I have now increased the goal to 200,000 SEK
(around £16'000)
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any help you can offer.
